MBA - more than just career ....

The MBA app process - gives us a good chance to be introspective enough about ourselves, our career goals, our lives and the way we can share it and want it. Time and again, when I have reflected on these things, I have found myself come to this conclusion - no matter what you write in the essays, which schools you app to, which school you pick up for the MBA, you first need a strong belief streaming from within - that you can get to your goals WITHOUT an MBA. The MBA education is important and valuable, no doubt about that. It will boost your confidence, give you transformational experiences, unique perspectives, no doubt about that. However, if your own belief wavers, then no matter whichever MBA you do, it will only do so much.. As a matter of fact, the whole MBA application is so much more than just career goals. It's about you "the person" (that's why the stress on uniqueness), what you want to do and what you want to share. The teachings from MBA will impact more than our career paths. These teachings will influence our values as well our passion. And if we have a strong belief in our values, passion and ourselves, the value of an MBA degree is just so much more ....
